In order to strengthen the Foundation’s operational team, we are currently looking for a new member of staff in Pamplona:

Technician for development education and cooperation projects

What will your mission be?

You will be responsible for identifying and formulating awareness-raising and development education projects and implementing them in Navarre, supporting development education activities in the Basque Country and Barcelona and managing funding for these projects. You will also support the different phases of the cooperation project cycle in the field, liaising with the assigned country offices and ensuring that the quality standards established both by the funder and those defined in the organisation’s internal processes are met.

These will be your main responsibilities

  • Design, implement and evaluate the impact of awareness raising and education for social transformation projects in coordination with the Foundation’s operational team and external partners.
  • Identify priority areas of intervention and design effective strategies: materials and didactic resources appropriate for the target audience in each initiative.
  • Assess public and private funding opportunities and manage the process of formulating projects for grant calls, including the collection of data and documents and the completion of forms.
  • To monitor funded projects, both from a technical and financial point of view, evaluate results and respond to possible requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and timely narrative and financial reports to justify the use of the funds received.
  • Maintain effective communication with the social base of the entity, people and external agents involved in the projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Affinity with the values of the organisation.
  • University education.
  • Minimum experience of 2/3 years with proven results in:
    • Management of the project cycle of awareness-raising and development education and cooperation projects: identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
    • Management of public funding from Spanish donors, as well as international donors (EU-DEVCO): grant management, financial monitoring and technical and financial reporting.
    • Participatory approaches, formal and informal education methodologies and pedagogical innovation.
    • Logical framework methodology, gender and Human Rights based approach and Theory of Change.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Office 365 and Excel.
  • Availability to travel both abroad (maximum once a year) and within Spain (periodically to the Basque Country and Catalonia).

In addition, we will also assess:

  • Knowledge of eye health and/or public health.
  • Previous experience working in the field.
  • Knowledge of the associative network in Navarre and the Basque Country.
  • Specific training in development education, cooperation and/or gender.
  • Knowledge of French and/or English, spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of Basque, spoken and written.

About the team

We are a horizontal and interconnected team of 11 people in Spain. Currently, the Navarre delegation has a delegate -volunteer- and a technical coordinator of the delegation.
