This fact causes the health services in the area to be overwhelmed. For this reason, <strong>Eyes of the world organizes mobile commissions to offer eye care<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">From April 1 to 9, the Foundation sent a brigade to<strong>&nbsp;visit seven sites for people displaced by internal conflicts, who could care for 369 people with vision problems<\/strong>.&nbsp;Notably, the following pathologies were detected:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li>53 cataracts (47% women)<\/li>\n<li>27 pterygium (63% women)<\/li>\n<li>213 conjunctivitis (72.8% women)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Among the 53 cases of cataracts detected, 24 people with a completely white lens will have to be operated on quickly since otherwise their condition could worsen and they could suffer from intumescent cataracts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">This Eyes of Mali project has the support of \u201cla Caixa\u201d Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":21560,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-21737","noticies","type-noticies","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
