{"id":21912,"date":"2022-12-02T14:26:29","date_gmt":"2022-12-02T14:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ullsdelmon.org\/noticies\/300-revisiones-y-131-gafas-donadas-en-un-centro-de-educacion-especial-de-bolivia\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T01:15:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T01:15:05","slug":"300-check-ups-and-131-eyeglasses-donated-to-a-special-education-centre-in-bolivia","status":"publish","type":"noticies","link":"https:\/\/www.ullsdelmon.org\/en\/news\/300-check-ups-and-131-eyeglasses-donated-to-a-special-education-centre-in-bolivia\/","title":{"rendered":"300 check-ups and 131 eyeglasses donated to a special education centre in Bolivia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the activities for the Eyes of Bolivia 2022-2024 programme, two days of <strong>ophthalmological examinations were carried out at the CEREFE Physical Rehabilitation and Special Education Centre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><\/b>The measurements of the refractions took place on October 24 and 25 at the centre\u2019s facilities and were carried out by ophthalmologist Joel Moya, ophthalmologist Claudia Moya, and optician Tod\u00e1 Adonai, collaborators of Eyes of the world.<\/p>\n<p>To practice this activity, <strong>ten teachers (seven women and three men) were previously trained in the technique of taking visual acuity<\/strong> so that they could collaborate with the screening of their students and thus be able to identify who needed ophthalmological attention.<\/p>\n<p>Of the <strong>300 evaluations, 20 cases of low vision were detected<\/strong> (13 boys, five girls, and two men). And later, on November 17, the prescription glasses were delivered.
