Visions is a solidarity art collection of the Eyes of the world Foundation that links the Universal Right to Sight with art, with image and visual perception as a nexus.

The project was born in 2008 and includes more than 90 works, including paintings, sculptures, graphics, photographs, and video art, which some 60 renowned contemporary artists have donated in solidarity to the Foundation with the aim of raising awareness of the precarious ophthalmological situation of thousands of people in the world and to raise funds to achieve a world in which there are no unnecessarily blind people and everyone has the opportunity to develop their human potential.

The art fund began with 28 photographs by Manel Esclusa, taken in the Sahara in 2006. In a short time, the collection was expanded with pieces by prestigious artists such as Antoni Tàpies and Andreu Alfaro, who created works, especially for the Foundation. Later, pieces by Miquel Barceló, Jaume Plensa, Lita Cabellut, Miquel Mont, Marina Núñez, Joan Pere Viladecans, Antoni Llena, Ignasi Aballí, Joan Fontcuberta, Riera i Aragó and Cristina Iglesias, among many others, were added to the collection.

Through their gaze and their artistic interpretations of their surroundings, Eyes of the world aims to raise awareness of the initiatives it carries out to fight avoidable blindness and, at the same time, to raise funds for the development of the different cooperation projects it has underway. The full amount raised will be used to implement the different prevention, treatment, and training activities on eye health in the field.

The solidarity of these artists and yours will allow Eyes of the world to continue working to make eye health accessible, affordable, and equitable throughout the world. By purchasing a work of art, you will be helping to restore sight to many vulnerable people.

Close the circle: choose a work, help those in need, and enjoy it.

If you like what you see, you can look at the rest of the available art in the Visions photo gallery. And if you are interested in purchasing any of them, you may get in touch with the Foundation.
