L\u00f3gicamente, quedaron suspendidas las campa\u00f1as de revisiones en las escuelas, las comisiones de cirug\u00edas y, en general, todas las actividades que implicaran a m\u00e1s de 10 personas. Pero el personal de salud, adoptando todas las medidas de seguridad y trabajando por turnos, ha ido atendiendo a la poblaci\u00f3n que necesitaba asistencia y tratamiento por alguna patolog\u00eda ocular.<\/strong><\/p>\n Durante estos meses, Ojos del mundo ha distribuido mascarillas y material de protecci\u00f3n para el personal t\u00e9cnico<\/strong> que atiende las urgencias en los departamentos de oftalmolog\u00eda del Hospital Provincial de Inhambane y del Hospital de Zavala. Los desplazamientos fueron posibles gracias a la adquisici\u00f3n de un veh\u00edculo todoterreno financiado por la ESCRS<\/b> (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons).<\/span><\/p>\n La Fundaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ha colaborado con la Direcci\u00f3n Provincial de Salud realizando acompa\u00f1amientos en sus visitas de supervisi\u00f3n a los distritos para ayudar a verificar la aplicaci\u00f3n de las medidas de protecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n En estas visitas, como la realizada en junio a Govuro, Mabote y Funhalouro, los equipos de Ojos del mundo han aprovechado para conocer m\u00e1s a fondo la situaci\u00f3n de algunos de los distritos m\u00e1s remotos de la provincia<\/strong> que no cuentan con servicio de atenci\u00f3n oftalmol\u00f3gica, tomando nota de sus necesidades en cuanto a salud ocular y proporcionando material did\u00e1ctico sobre las patolog\u00edas oculares m\u00e1s frecuentes.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Activity continues in Mozambique<\/strong><\/p>\n Since the start of the Covid-19 state of emergency, the ophthalmology services of Inhambane province, which is where the Eyes of the world teams operate, have never come to a complete stop.<\/p>\n Logically, eye revision campaigns in schools, surgery commissions and, in general, all activities involving more than 10 people were suspended.
