Josep Caminal Badia
He is an executive with a proven career in the cultural, institutional and business areas, where he has held positions of responsibility in both public administration and the management of leading organisations and entities.
He has been Director General of Local Administration and of the Catalan Radio and Television Corporation, Councillor for Barcelona City Council and board member of FC Barcelona, as well as Secretary of Organisation for Convergencia Democrática de Cataluña.
Between 1993 and 2005, he was Director General of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, during which time he promoted the modernisation of the theatre and managed the reconstruction process after the fire in 1994 until its reopening in 1999. He subsequently served as Director General of the Presidency of the Godó Group between 2005 and February 2019.
At the same time, he has been manager of the Palau de la Música Catalana Consortium and the Barcelona Medical Association, and was briefly CEO of Forum 2004 in 2001.
His career is notable for his experience in the management and administration of cultural institutions and highly complex organisations.
