Prevention, detection and comprehensive response to violence

Eyes of the world has a protocol for the prevention, detection and management of violence, the purpose of which is to establish a regulatory and operational framework to guide action in response to any form of violence that may occur within the organisation, whether physical, psychological, sexual, economic, symbolic, institutional or digital.

Furthermore, the protocol aims to promote an institutional culture based on respect, equality and human rights, from a feminist and intersectional perspective, placing the focus on the victim, their recovery and their recognition as a rights-holder.

The general objectives of the protocol are:

  1. To reaffirm Eyes of the world’s institutional commitment to equality, fairness and the prevention of all forms of violence and discrimination as core values.
  2. To foster a culture of zero tolerance towards violence and discrimination of any kind, including physical, psychological, sexual, economic, symbolic, institutional or digital forms.
  3. To implement a comprehensive framework for prevention and action based on a feminist, intersectional and human rights perspective, applicable at all levels and in all areas of the organisation.
  4. To ensure an effective and restorative institutional response, focused on the protection, support and holistic recovery of those affected.

This document is linked to the Eyes of the world Code of ethics and conduct and the Eyes of the world Gender strategy and the Protocol for addressing sexual violence, ensuring consistency and complementarity across all internal policies.
