Inclusive vision

For Eyes of the world, guaranteeing the right to eye health is a matter of health, justice, and human dignity. No one should live with avoidable visual impairment, regardless of where they live, including the most vulnerable groups in our community.

Unfortunately, even in Barcelona there are people who, for various reasons, do not access the eye care they need and that the public health system provides, with serious social, emotional, and health consequences.

To improve the health, quality of life, and social integration of these individuals, Eyes of the world’s new Strategic Plan includes the development of projects that ensure no one is excluded from the right to sight, no matter where they live.

Therefore, with the support of “la Caixa,” Eyes of the world is working both to improve access and to increase awareness that fosters a culture of prevention and self-care, as well as to promote more inclusive and accessible eye-care environments.
