Young people from Navarre view the world through healthy cuisine and accessible design
Cooking for Your Eyes 2.0 is an initiative by Eyes of the world / Munduko begiak in Navarre that combines healthy cooking, accessible design and solidarity to promote eye health, inclusion and global citizenship. It is funded by the Government of Navarre’s International Development Cooperation Service. Participants include vocational training students in cooking at the Burlada Integrated Centre (Special and Higher Cycles) and higher education students in graphic design at the Corella School of Art and Design, with the collaboration of the Iddeas Foundation, a non-profit organisation that promotes inclusion and competitiveness in organisations through accessibility and universal design.

Learning by doing: cooking that is good for your eyesight
In the kitchens of CI Burlada, students reinterpret traditional Bolivian recipes using local products that are beneficial to eye health, employing modern cooking techniques and connecting territory and sustainability. They also reflect on the barriers to accessing eye care in Bolivia (distance to medical services, economic resources and gender roles in care).
Educational exchange with Bolivia
The students in the Special Cycle write letters and record videos for students in Bolivian schools in Oruro and Tarija, creating a human and educational exchange that shares learning and reinforces empathy between territories.
Accessible design and inclusion
In Corella, Graphic Design students receive training in accessibility and inclusive communication from the Iddeas Foundation. They analyse the awareness-raising materials used by Eyes of the world in Bolivia and adapt them to make them more understandable and accessible to everyone. They also design the poster for the final event, applying accessibility criteria and integrating the concepts of eye health, nutrition and the connection between Navarre and Bolivia.

Intergenerational collaboration
The project involves the participation of the Gazteluleku and La Jarana gastronomic societies, which collaborate in cooking workshops with students, promoting intergenerational exchange that combines traditional knowledge, new techniques and shared reflection on how food can care for our eyesight and the planet.
Materials and results
The project has resulted in an exhibition of panels that show, in clear and accessible language, how healthy eating, sustainability, equality and inclusive design help to protect eye health.
