To offer eye care in the camps for internally displaced persons in Mali, it is essential to have the appropriate material and equipment. One of the tasks of the Eyes of the world Foundation is to provide these items that would be impossible to obtain due to the complicated conditions of the area.

During the last quarter, the following donations have been made:

  • Portable microscope to be able to carry out operations in the camps of the Djennè district.

Prescription glasses

  • New slit lamp in the Bankass CSRèf.
  • Consumable material for ophthalmological consultations and 200 cataract surgery kits, with consumables and medicines to benefit the districts of Bandiagara, Bankass, Djennè, Douentza, Koro, and Mopti.
  • Hygiene and personal protection kits, within the framework of COVID-19 prevention, for the reference health centers in the six districts and the Sominè Dolo Hospital in Mopti.
  • 70 prescription glasses for students of the Pedagogical Animation Centers of the Djennè, Douentza, Koro, and Bankass districts.
